Job Responsibilities

1. Work under close coordination with technical team production, projects and QA or Chief Executive (when required). 2. Thoroughly understand all the current production processes at ARCO and acquire in depth knowledge. 3. Understand the mould designs and all relevant designs, drawings and requirements to acquire overall technical knowledge related to business needs at ARCO. 4. Correspond with technical team for any new requirement related to machines, moulds, spare parts etc. 5. Based on technical requirement, source the relevant suppliers, vendors, manufacturers in China. 6. Interface between ARCO and supplier/manufacturer with respect to specifications and budgets. 7. Based on technical requirements at ARCO related to new machines purchases, mould purchases, purchases of parts, accessories or any other items, keep developing and updating the relevant details of suppliers, vendors, manufacturers available in China. 8. Ensure effective sourcing or identification of suppliers or manufacturers in China for purchase of machines, moulds, spare parts etc and communicate any issues that may pose risk or impact the business needs at ARCO. 9. Deliver all updates or reports to technical team as and when required. 10. Keep exploring alternate sources for required machines, moulds, parts etc. 11. On the basis of technical requirement and business needs, liaison with technical team to select the supplier, vendor or manufacturer for machine, moulds, spare parts purchases that fulfills ARCO business needs. 12. Critically evaluate all available options in China and advice technical team for the selection or purchases of machines, moulds, spare parts etc. 13. Act as an ARCO representative in China and correspond with all suppliers, vendors, manufacturers as and when required. 14. Acquire all the details related to new machine requirement, moulds, parts or accessories and share with technical team. 15. Coordinate with both technical team at ARCO and manufactures in China for all technical related queries. 16. Lead the negotiation correspondence with selected supplier, vendor or manufacturer to finalize the machine, mould, spare parts etc as per the requirement of ARCO. 17. Actively participate in negotiating contracts, improve policies or terms with supplier, vendor or manufacturer to make business saving, utilize negotiation best practices and communication. 18. Assess and evaluate suppliers, manufacturers and undertake evaluation in liaison with technical team and ensure compliance of contracts. 19. Prepare purchase orders (when required) in line with final negotiations with selected suppliers, vendors or manufacturers. 20. Visit the concerned supplier, vendors or manufacturers as and when required for testing or inspection of new machine, mould, spare parts or tools etc. 21. Ensure that all the required items meets the technical requirements of ARCO. 22. Procure all the new machines, mould, parts or accessories in China on behalf of ARCO. 23. Mitigate all the potential risks involved in the procurement of new machine, mould, spare parts or tools etc. 24. Support technical or import team in import documentation of new machine, mould, spare parts or tools etc. 25. Provide technical support in any other matter to concerned team at ARCO

Job Requirements

• Injection moulding process knowledge. • Relevant manufacturing/engineering degree. • Technical knowledge related to injection moulding machines, parts. • Proven sourcing or purchasing knowledge. • Analytical thinking • Holding self accountable • Achievement and results orientation • Innovative approach towards work • Spoken English • 03 – 05 years’ relevant experience
