We are seeking an experienced Technical Artist to join our team in Beijing. This role is pivotal in researching and evaluating game engine features, optimizing game performance, and enhancing our development process. Research game engine features and evaluate various (rendering) engine tools for usability (functionality, performance, etc), and guide project developers on using them. Write or modify shaders used in projects based on project needs. Optimize game performance based on project needs. Formulate development specifications and optimize production workflows based on project needs. Write and maintain relevant technical documents, research cutting-edge technologies.
Bachelor's degree or above, 5+ years of game development experience, 3+ years of engine related or technical art experience, has complete 3D project and full game launch experience, deep understanding of computer graphics and imaging technologies, knowledge of CPU/GPU hardware architecture preferred. Familiar with game development engines, URP and various mainstream shading languages. Familiar with rendering APIs such as DirectX/OpenGL/Metal/Vulkan. Familiar with various classic lighting models and graphics algorithms. Understand various art DCC software and art resource development workflows and specifications, DCC plugin development experience preferred. Able to maintain good communication and collaboration with team developers, has good logical thinking skills, strong sense of autonomy and innovation.
