Define, build and lead Roku's localization practice from the ground up • Spearhead and develop internal localization competence and scalable processes across business and functional units (HQ and in-region). • Set a vision / strategy, hire talent, develop Localization Playbook by establishing a management system and measurable KPIs across product development, user experience, marketing, content acquisition, customer engagement, legal and analytics. • Develop Century Games' international tone and voice across all customer touch points and channels • Select and manage translation / localization vendors, set quality and delivery standards. • Guide product teams to ensure localization standard methodologies are followed to minimize downstream issues and decrease cost and time-tomarket for the localized versions. • Monitor individual, team and portfolio performance and implement improvements to improve efficiency and effectiveness. • Set prioritization and escalation strategies which support localization excellence at scale • Set up and own a cadence of reviews / approvals of your deliverables that increase visibility, discussion, and innovation
• 5+ years professional related work experience and hands-on localization program management experience. • 3+ years of leadership experience in a large, cross-functional organization. • Demonstrated tenacity, resilience, and leadership experience that enables you to organize and lead programs and teams, overcome challenges, and propose solutions. We seek a highly motivated self-starter with a track record of "figuring it out." • Experience leading complex cross functional programs to delivery in localization, international product development, or other international business contexts. Experience in content and marketing is a plus. • Solid in-depth knowledge of internationalization and localization. Experience with localization platforms, file formats and translation /localization tools • Detailed understanding of translation technologies: translation memories, translation management systems, machine translation, translation workflow automation etc. • Strong written and verbal communication skills, experience to work effectively across time zones and cultures • Outstanding collaboration and partnership capabilities, experience with managing distributed global teams and selecting and managing localization / translation vendors across different geographies • A born leader - strong organizational and leadership skills in navigating ambiguous environments • Proven effectiveness at delivering summary updates, reports and presentations at the executive level; great interpersonal and communication skills. • Curiosity for language, culture, regional nuance, and the desire to continually build empathy.
