Job Responsibilities
- Design and resolve packaging issues to ensure products are well protected and pass drop/transit testing. - Design and create artwork and packaging die-lines to best present product at retail level. - Create and update graphic and artwork files on server as required. - Perform on-site color proof approvals at vendor. - Management of entire design process in assigned categories/dockets – “cradle to grave”. - Make assertive artwork/design recommendations. - Conduct research to identify new product ideas, designs, materials and production techniques. - Update and create new current product specifications. - Create prototypes/mock-ups as required. - Prepare final product graphics and packaging for master control files. - Maintain communication with internal departments, including merchandising, sales, customer service, logistics, quality control, and production. - Attend various internal meetings as required. - Maintain external communication with agents, vendors, and designers. - Other job duties assigned as necessary.
Job Requirements
- Holder of Diploma or above in graphic design or related disciplines; - 2+ years relevant experience. - Proficient in the fields of image editing, image resolution, color handling and print production; - Experience in communication with printing factories with knowledge of printing is an advantage; - Proficient usage in Illustrator, Photoshop, knowledge in AutoCAD and 3D Max Studio; - Very strong understanding of packaging skills. - Strong organization skills and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. - Good command of oral and written English communication and literacy. - Flexible and adaptable to a changing work environment.
