Job Responsibilities
1. Build up the infrastructure of the health center (facilities, equipment, function, services, and the team). 2. During the ESMC construction phase, support the safety and health coordinator (SiGeKo) and ensure that the measures implemented comply with the regulations. 3. Recruit and supervise the health team consisting of the occupational health nurse(s) and the 24/7-shift nurses, and oversee the day-to-day activities. 4. Support establishing the first-aid team, and clarify under which ESMC function the first-aid team is managed. 5. Appoint, supervise and collaborate with the external occupational doctor and internal ESH/ISEP professional to provide occupational health services. 6. Gain a full understanding of relevant laws and regulations regarding occupational health services to ensure that the supervision meets all regulatory requirements. 7. Supervise the occupational health nurses to carry out the measures recommended by the occupational doctor. Follow up on the results, and give updates and feedback to the doctor. 8. Gain a full understanding of German statutory health insurance. Create a list of nearby clinics and hospitals, and create a list of "self-pay" incremental (extra) medical services. 9. Counsel employees on their medical conditions, and help them gain access to the medical services, including those covered by the statutory health insurance and those "self-pay" extra options. 10. Contribute to the provision of training, advice, health surveillance, vaccinations, and other general occupational health issues. 11. Advocate and foster a healthy lifestyle culture in the company. 12. Support in the coordination of corporate health management and measures to manage health risk of the company and with travel medical issues.
Job Requirements
1. A certified medical doctor, nurse, and/or a certified occupational medicine specialist. 2. In-depth knowledge in the field of occupational medicine, and hands-on experience in project management. Must have experience: 1. 5 years of experience as a medical doctor in the field of occupational medicine. 2. Relevant practical experience as an occupational doctor in a company setting. Language Skills: Fluent in English and Mandarin; good German. Professional Skills: 1. Familiar with the medical system/resources in Dresden or Germany. 2. Good communication and interpersonal skills; able to communicate with all levels of the company and other medical professionals. 3. Sound knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as knowledge of patient documentation systems. 4. Customer orientation, discretion, reliability, and team orientation.
