This position will provide an opportunity to develop knowledge in the entire new business development process: from the initial screening of an RFP, to the organization and project management of an RFP, to the actual content creation and updating of RFP language and then, finally, to the onboarding of new client relationships. The candidate will be expected to handle a high volume of requests simultaneously and productively. Assists in writing new and more complex RFP responses. Responsible for building and maintaining relationships with investment staff, product managers, legal/compliance and others. Identify and set RFP strategy/process definition. Responsibilities • Assist in writing new and more complex Request For Proposal (RFP) responses in partnership with product managers, investment personnel and other individuals within the firm to draft new content. • Write and edit accurate and relevant responses to RFPs, requests for information, due diligence and ad hoc requests. • Ensure timely communication and completion of RFPs. Deliver outstanding client service, manage communication with clients and manage service recovery as needed. • Liaison with marketing, investment professionals and other internal business partners to ensure a detailed understanding of the firm’s investment processes and products to create accurate and relevant proposal responses. • Provide continuous improvement across team processes and written RFP content. • Maintain and add new content to the RFP database. •Work effectively with internal partner areas, such as the performance and legal areas to process information and satisfy legal and regulatory materials submission requirements. • Provide support to the sales distribution effort. Complete RFP follow-up requests by assisting in creating appropriate materials in partnership with internal resources as needed. • Customize final documents to reflect a nuanced and targeted response to the specific vehicle for sales opportunity. • Oversee production of final proposals (formatting and technical editing).
