I have over four years’ experience of Chinese to English editing and translation, including two years at the Central Bureau of Compilation and Translation, where I have been the lead foreign editor and translator for the Plan for National Economic and Social Development for the past two years, as well as for the NPC report this year. This has given me experience of working to tight deadlines under substantial pressure, as well as of working as a member of a team with complementary skill sets. It has also given me substantial experience with Trados. I also have experience of working independently on projects, having translated the English version of a book about the Chinese Dream in my spare time last year. This involved extensive research due to the wide-ranging subject matter, along with working to tight deadlines and ensuring the quality and consistency of the finished product.
